From Suffern @ I-87 & I-287 Interchange Exit 15A: Take R-17 about 6.5 miles north to Tuxedo. Just past the Tuxedo train station, turn right on E Village Rd, cross the tracks and turn left into the large parking lot which is free on weekends. GPS (41.1956, -74.1841)
Thursday thru Monday June 11 to 15, 2020 Pine Creek Bike & Hike Trip Moderate or Moderately Strenuous
Leaving Thursday night June 11th to near Rickets Glen PA. Hike Friday June 12th in Rickets Glen. Drive to Pine Creek PA to stay in local Air B&B. Bike Saturday and Sunday Pine Creek gorge. Or hike the rim of the Grand Canyon of PA. Return Monday June 15th.

Sunday June 21, 2020 Trail Maintenance—Sterling Ridge North Moderately Strenuous
Come help the club with Spring Trail maintenance. Tools will be provided, however please bring work gloves.

Meet: 9:00 a.m. North End Sterling Ridge Trail Parking, 798 Minturn Bridge Rd (Rt-17A), Monroe NY 10950
From Suffern @I-87 & I-287 Interchange Exit 15A: Take Rt-17 about 8½ miles north to Rt-17A at light. Turn left (west) on Rt-17A and continue for about 5½ mi. (look for hikers crossing sign). The access road to the Parking Area is on the left side of Rt-17A. Turn in and drive 300 ft to parking.
From Greenwood Lake, NY: Travel 3½ mi east on Rt-17A to the parking area access road on the right. Turn in and drive 300 ft to parking. Enter slowly and carefully. There are large potholes in the access road. GPS Rt-17A turnoff (41.2306, -74.2608) Lot (41.2297, -74.2606)

Sunday June 28, 2020 AT #16—Rt-9/Graymoor to Dennytown Rd, NY Moderately Strenuous
This section is about 9 miles of mostly just short up and downs. We pass Graymoor Monastery which has been kind to AT hikers in the past. Views of the Hudson may be had along the trail. From Denning Hill, on a clear day, it’s possible to see NYC skyline some 40 mi south. We end up at the Group Campsites in Fahnestock Park.
Rain cancels this hike. Shuttle Required.

Dennytown Rd; Putnam Valley, NY 10579
Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway: North to Rt-9W traffic circle near Bear Mountain Bridge (about 18 miles north of NY State Thruway). At the Rotary go ½ around following Rt 202 to Bear Mt Bridge. After paying toll drive across to intersection with Rt-9D & Rt-202. Turn right and follow the winding scenic Rt-202 south for 3½ mi to the junction with Rt-9. Take Rt-9 north 10 mi to Rt-301. Turn right and drive eastward 2.6 mi to Dennytown Rd on the right. Turn right heading south for 1¼ mi to AT Parking on left. Park on south side of lot. GPS Meeting Place (41.4206, -73.8689)

Directions for shuttle: From AT Parking, Dennytown Rd go north on Dennytown Rd 1¼ mi to Rt-301. turn left and drive 2.6 mi westward on Rt-301 to junction of Rt-9 at light. Go southward on Rt-9 6½ mi to intersection at light with Rt-403. Turn onto Rt-403 for AT Parking along Rt-403 in two places: 1) At west side of Rt-403 by trail crossing, 2) Just past gas Station on east side of Rt-403.
